Originating from the depths of musical extremity, Brainblast stands as a formidable force within the yet unexplored realm of symphonic technical death metal.Hailing from an undisclosed location but originally from Colombia, the band was founded in 2015 by multi-instrumentalist and academic composer Edd Jiménez.However, it wasn’t until 2016 that the band truly embarked on their journey, channeling their musical prowess into the composition of their groundbreaking debut EP, “Primal Impulse.” Released in 2019This monumental offering quickly garnered acclaim as one of the finest technical death metal EPs to emerge in recent years, solidifying Brainblast’s position as an upcoming force in the genre.Drawing inspiration mainly from the vast and intricate world of classical music and spirituality, Brainblast now delves deep into the realms of heavy polyphony, counterpoint, and orchestration to define their own signature sound blending technical death metal music within orchestral writing.Paying musical homage to the timeless compositions of legends such as J.S Bach, who serves as the main musical academic archetype for Brainblast’s musical content, the band’s musical tapestry weaves together complex layers of melody and harmony.This creates an immersive and intellectually stimulating sonic experience as a contribution to the best musical legacy of Western civilization culture and history wich the band encourages in their musical endeavour.Having established themselves with their lauded EP, Brainblast now sets their sights on a great milestone in their career: the creation of their highly anticipated monumental debut studio album.
